In November of 2019 we met Councillor Terrance Paul, the Cabinet member for finance and corporate services at a Newham Council planning meeting on citizen’s participatory democracy. ClimateYouChange members are pleased to have met with local MP, Stephen Timms.   This was the first time that we met him as ClimateYouChange.   For context, group founder, Celia had previously had a meeting with Stephen Timms. This had been during a time of transition. She was moving away from being part of a wider organisation after seeing that their focus was more on activism than education. Thank you to all ClimateYouChange members and volunteers who helped to plant the apple orchard at Eastbrookend Country Park in the East London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.   We really appreciate Jerome Scorer, community ranger for Barking and Dagenham Council, giving us this opportunity to contribute to the 64-tree orchard he has been creating, with a tree planting event laid on for our group.   It was a fantastic opportunity to have hands on tree planting experience!   G
